From Urban Village , a folk group from Soweto, singer Msaki and her male counterpart Tubatsi Mpho Moloi are preparing to release a joint album, Synthetic Hearts, on March 10, in collaboration with French cellist Clément Petit. A project carried by the No Format label, familiar with this type of encounter, and of which we can have a glimpse with the bewitching Subaleka (“don’t run away”, in Xhosa), whose clip was published at the end of November. Shot with a smartphone by director Sanaa, this one intends “to show a sincere picture of South Africa through a song imbued with the spirit of mourning […] while including the feelings of love and comfort” .
